Founded in 1995, Mercy Heart has been there for families making adjustments when loved ones are incarcerated.

Matthew 9:36 says, "When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them because they were distressed and helpless."

Mercy Heart is a vision born out of a need for the church to respond to the broken, discarded, wounded families and individuals in the crisis of incarceration. These are an unseen, largely ignored sub-culture of our society . . . those who exist just below the visible surface of society, in the shadows of our society.
